The film journal

The film journal

A journal for watching closely and thinking on paper. We are developing a first issue of film writing, criticism, and conversations.

Have a piece in mind?

Send a short description of your idea, its connection to cinema, and a little about yourself. A proposal is an invitation to a conversation; commissions, editing, rights, and payment terms are agreed separately before work begins.
